FAO Team Visits Federal Polytechnic Mubi for Strategic Assessment
The Federal Polytechnic Mubi recently hosted a delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) led by Dr. Nafisa. The team visited the institution on a strategic assessment tour to explore collaboration opportunities.
The FAO delegation met with the Polytechnic Management, led by the Deputy Rector (Academics), Dr. Mustapha Dauda Belel, to discuss the purpose of their visit. The team aimed to assess the institution's facilities and capacity in readiness for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program for veterinary paraprofessionals in Adamawa State.
The proposed program seeks to empower veterinary paraprofessionals to become entrepreneurs, contributing to animal health services and rural development. The Federal Polytechnic Mubi is being considered as a key implementing partner in this important training initiative.
The FAO team conducted a comprehensive tour of relevant facilities and expressed satisfaction with what they saw, stating that the institution had exceeded their expectations in terms of preparedness and infrastructure.
The Rector, Dr. Abdulrahman Aspita Ishaka, reaffirmed the Polytechnic's commitment to supporting development initiatives that align with national and global goals. This visit marks a significant step toward strategic collaboration in agricultural development, veterinary capacity building, and professional empowerment.
