Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) Approves Academic and Administrative Staff Promotions
The Governing Council of FUBK, chaired by Pro-Chancellor Col. Abdulmumini Aminu (Rtd.), has approved the promotion of key academic and non-teaching staff, effective January 1, 2026.

The Governing Council of FUBK, chaired by Pro-Chancellor Col. Abdulmumini Aminu (Rtd.), has approved the promotion of key academic and non-teaching staff, effective January 1, 2026.
At the Council’s 31st meeting, following recommendations from External Assessors and the Senior Staff Appointment and Promotion Committee (SSAPC), the following promotions were confirmed:
Academic Promotions

Professors:
- Dr. Junaidu Bello Marshal – Corporate and ICT Laws; current Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in Kebbi State.
- Dr. Aisha Nana Adamu – Obstetrics and Gynecology; Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons with notable contributions at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Birnin Kebbi.

- Dr. Ola-Buraimo Abdulrazaq Olatunji – Sedimentology

Senior Lecturers: 25 academic staff were promoted to this rank.
Non-Academic Promotions
- Five senior non-teaching staff were promoted to:
- Deputy Bursar
- Deputy Director, Medical Laboratory Services
- Principal Assistant Registrar
The Council commended all promoted personnel and encouraged them to continue contributing positively to the University and society at large.
