Federal University Dutse Releases 2025/2026 Academic Calendar

The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has published the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session, detailing key dates and activities for both new and returning students.

According to the university’s weekly newsletter dated November 18, 2025, registration for new students will begin on Monday, December 1, 2025, and run until Friday, December 13, 2025. Returning students are scheduled to register from December 14 to December 20, 2025, followed by the Christmas and New Year break from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

Lectures for the first semester will commence on January 12, 2026, spanning ten weeks. Matriculation is scheduled for January 29, 2026, while first semester examinations will hold from April 20 to May 9, 2026. An inter-semester break will take place from May 11 to May 24, 2026.

The second semester will begin on May 25, 2026, with six weeks of lectures followed by a mid-semester break from July 6 to July 12, 2026. Lectures will resume until August 29, 2026, and second semester examinations are scheduled for August 31 to September 19, 2026.

Following the examinations, marking and board meetings will take place, with the Senate meeting for second semester results consideration slated for October 29, 2026. The 2026/2027 academic session is expected to commence on November 9, 2026.
