Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo (FUHSO) Announces 2024/2025 UTME/DE Screening Exercise

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), Nigeria’s first dedicated health sciences university, has announced the commencement of its admission exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session. The institution invites candidates who applied through JAMB and chose FUHSO as their first choice for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) to participate in the screening exercise.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have passed O’Level exams with at least five credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings. The following minimum cut-off marks apply for the UTME candidates:

• College of Medicine:
  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) – 240 and above
  • B.Sc. Biochemistry – 200 and above
• Faculty of Science:
  • B.Sc. Microbiology – 200 and above
  • B.Sc. Computer Science – 180 and above
  • B.Sc. Chemistry – 180 and above
  • B.Sc. Biostatistics – 180 and above
  • B.Sc. Biological Sciences – 180 and above
  • B.Sc. Mathematics – 180 and above
  • B.Sc. Physics – 180 and above

Candidates who scored 220 and above in the UTME may be considered for alternative courses such as B. Pharmacy, B. Nursing Science, or B. Medical Laboratory Science.

Screening Dates and Venue:
The screening exercise is scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2024, and Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Lecture Theatre, Take-Off Campus, Otada, Otukpo.

Application Process:
Candidates interested in switching to FUHSO should update their choice of institution on the JAMB portal, selecting FUHSO as their first choice and ensuring that their O’Level results are uploaded. Required documents for the screening include:

• Evidence of selecting FUHSO as the first choice through JAMB
• JAMB result printout
• Original O’Level certificate
• Birth certificate
• Two passport photographs
• Evidence of a non-refundable processing fee of N2,000 paid via REMITA
• Two photocopies of all documents
