Federal University of Kashere Governing Council Appoints Substantive Librarian and Directors

The Governing Council of the Federal University of Kashere (FUK), at its 10th Special Meeting held on Monday, 2nd February, 2026, approved the appointment of the following Management Staff in line with the relevant laws of the University:

1.University Librarian – Dr. Tukur Abba

2.Director of Works and Maintenance Services– Engr. Abdullahi Adamu Mohammed

3.Director of Physical Planning – Tpl. Muhammad Imam Yunusa

Dr. Tukur Abba, an Associate Professor from Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, previously served as the University Librarian of MAU, Yola from 2018 to 2023. He holds Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maiduguri and is a registered member of the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).

Engr. Abdullahi Adamu Mohammed, who previously served as Acting Director, holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Bayero University, Kano, and is a registered member of COREN, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), and Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE).

Tpl. Muhammad Imam Yunusa, also formerly Acting Director of Physical Planning, holds a B.Tech in Urban and Regional Planning from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi. He joined the Federal University of Kashere in 2011 and rose to the rank of Deputy Director in 2022.

The Chairman of Council, Prof. Williams O. Aderounmu, congratulated the appointees and charged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in advancing the growth and development of the University.

All appointments take effect immediately.
