Federal University of Technology, Akure Releases 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Guidelines

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced the commencement of its online registration for the Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for admission into all undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The registration exercise is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 1, 2026, and will close on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates eligible for the screening include:

• UTME candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 JAMB examination
• Direct Entry (DE) candidates who selected FUTA as their first-choice institution
• Candidates with at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
• Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent examinations

Special Admission Note

• Admission into the MBBS programme, previously suspended, has been reinstated and qualified candidates are eligible to apply

Application Procedure

Candidates are required to:

• Visit the official FUTA website: www.futa.edu.ng
• Complete and submit the Post-UTME application form online
• Print a copy of the completed registration form

Registration Requirements and Process

• UTME Registration Number must be correctly entered during payment and registration
• Full names must match exactly as they appear on the JAMB slip
• Payment must be made via Remita after generating the required payment code
• After payment, candidates must return online to complete the registration form

Screening Fee

• ₦2,000 (Two Thousand Naira only)
• Payable at any bank via the Remita platform

Important Requirements and Conditions

Candidates should note that:

• Late registration after the deadline will not be accepted
• O’ Level results must be uploaded on JAMB CAPS on or before Friday, July 3, 2026
• Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026 to be eligible for admission
• Candidates who are not screened will not be considered for admission
