This initiative, unveiled by the Vice-Chancellor during a staff briefing, is part of the university’s “Vision 2030” plan to position FUD as a nationally and globally competitive institution.
New programs include Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science & Analytics, Networking and Cloud Computing, Project Management, Procurement, Logistics & Supply Chain, Geology, Climate-Smart Agriculture, Optometry, Physiotherapy, and Community Health, among others.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted that the modernization of curricula aligns with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and global digital transformation benchmarks. He called on academic staff to embrace the reforms, stressing that competitive programs, advanced research, and strategic global partnerships will strengthen the university’s international standing.
“We have the manpower and political will to position FUD in the global scheme of things,” he stated, emphasizing the university’s commitment to enhancing graduate employability and meeting evolving industry demands.
