The Students' Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (Gidan Kwano Campus) has announced the immediate suspension of all bike (Okada) operations within the campus. The directive, effective from Thursday, 26th February 2026, will remain in force until further notice.
According to a press release signed by the SUG Public Relations Officer, Comr. Nurudeen Muhammad Liman, the decision followed repeated violations by the Bike Association of approved transportation fares. Despite prior negotiations and agreements, incidents of price hikes and non-compliance persisted, prompting the union to act.

The SUG leadership stressed that student welfare is the top priority and urged students to exercise patience while alternative arrangements for campus mobility are explored. The union assured that updates on solutions will be communicated promptly.
