FUD SUG Confirms Closure of Central Registration Portal for Newly Admitted Students

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University Dutse (FUD) has issued an official statement regarding difficulties faced by newly admitted students unable to complete central registration.

The issue concerns students who secured admission and paid acceptance fees but could not finalize registration before the portal’s closure. Despite submitting their details to the SUG and prompting advocacy efforts, the university management has confirmed that reopening the portal is not feasible at this time.

The decision stems from:

  • Conflict with existing university regulations
  • Non-compliance with JAMB guidelines

SUG President Comrade Isah Ibrahim emphasized that the Union engaged extensively with university authorities, including the Vice Chancellor, to seek a resolution. However, the university’s position remains firm.

The SUG expressed empathy for affected students:
"Unfortunately, the outcome was not the one we had all hoped for. We truly share in the disappointment and deeply empathize with every student affected by this situation."

The Union reassured the student body that it has exhausted all advocacy channels and will continue to support and protect the welfare of the FUD community.
