FUGashua Vice-Chancellor Receives JTF Commandant on Strategic Visit

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Gashua, Professor Yaqub Ahmed Geidam, today received the Commandant of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Forward Operation Base Gashua, Major Audu Garba Kure, on a courtesy visit.

Present to receive the Commandant alongside the Vice-Chancellor were the University Registrar, Dr. Abubakar Mamuda; the Bursar, Malam Mohammed Ahmed Ali; the Director of Works and Physical Planning, Engr. Ahmed Adamu Janga; as well as the Acting Chief Security Officer of the University, DSP Garba Shuaibu (rtd).

While specific details of the operational discussions remained internal, the visit underscores the ongoing cooperation between the Federal University and the JTF in maintaining peace within the Gashua axis. The Vice-Chancellor expressed the university's commitment to supporting security initiatives that protect the lives and property of students, staff, and the host community.
