FUHSO Presents First-Ever NYSC Mobilisation List for 2026 Batch C

History was made at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), on Monday, 21 September 2026, as the University presented its first National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation list to the Registrar of the institution, Mr Michael Okoko Ogiji.

The list, prepared for the 2026 Batch C NYSC mobilisation, comprises graduates of the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic sessions of the Faculty of Science.

The list was formally presented to the Registrar by the Acting Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr Peter Adikwu, accompanied by staff members of the Students’ Affairs Division.

Presenting the list, Dr Adikwu congratulated the Registrar and the entire University community on the development, describing it as a significant milestone in the history of FUHSO.

Receiving the list, the Registrar, Mr Ogiji, expressed delight over the development and described the presentation as a turning point in the history of the University.

He described the achievement as “laudable” and assured the delegation that the list would be forwarded to the Vice-Chancellor for onward presentation to the Governing Council.

The Registrar also disclosed that the certificates of the affected graduates would be ready for issuance during the maiden convocation ceremony of the University, scheduled to hold later in the year.

The development marks the first NYSC mobilisation of graduates from FUHSO since the establishment of the premier University of Health Sciences in Otukpo, Benue State. It also underscores the growth and institutional advancement of the young University under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francis Aba Uba.

The official presentation signals a new chapter in the academic and professional journey of FUHSO graduates, who will now have the opportunity to participate in the national service programme and contribute to national development.
