The Federal University Kashere (FUK) has announced plans to host a book launch in honour of its immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Umaru A. Pate, in recognition of his contributions to leadership and institutional development.

The event, organised by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, is scheduled to hold on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Idris Abdulkadir Auditorium, National Universities Commission Secretariat, Abuja, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The book, titled “An Icon of Visionary Leadership, Knowledge, Transformation, and Impactful Change,” highlights Prof. Pate’s legacy and impact during his tenure at the university.

Sen. Muhammad Danjuma Goje is expected to chair the occasion, while the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Mohammed Inuwa Ja’afaru, will serve as Chief Host.

The event is expected to attract academics, policymakers, and stakeholders within the education sector, providing a platform to reflect on leadership, institutional growth, and the evolving role of universities in national development.
