FUL Governing Council Appoints Engr. Ojo Olukayode as Substantive Director of Works, Maintenance and Services

The Governing Council of Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has approved the appointment of Engr. Ojo Adedayo Olukayode as the substantive Director of Works, Maintenance and Services of the university.

The appointment takes immediate effect and reflects the council’s confidence in Engr. Olukayode’s competence, professionalism, dedication, and contributions to the growth and development of the institution.

The official letter of appointment was presented by the Registrar of the university, Dr. Rebecca Okijie, on behalf of the Governing Council and management.

Engr. Olukayode, a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (MNIEE), a registered engineer and Project Management Professional (PMP), is regarded as an experienced engineering and project management expert with extensive knowledge in infrastructure development, facilities management, maintenance operations, and strategic project execution.

According to the university, his track record of excellence and commitment to duty has earned him recognition both within and outside the institution.

In his new role, Engr. Olukayode will provide strategic leadership for the planning, development, maintenance, and management of the university’s physical infrastructure. He is also expected to ensure that facilities and services meet the standards required to support teaching, learning, research, and community service.

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, on behalf of the Governing Council, management, Senate, staff, and students, congratulated Engr. Olukayode on his appointment.

Professor Ibileye expressed confidence in the new director’s ability to introduce innovation, efficiency, and professionalism into the Directorate of Works, Maintenance and Services in line with the university’s vision of becoming a world-class institution.

Members of the university community have also welcomed the appointment, describing it as a positive development for the continued improvement of infrastructure and service delivery across the institution.
