The College of Postgraduate Studies at the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) successfully organized its maiden national conference, addressing the pressing challenges of environmental change and sustainable education in Nigeria.

A special roundtable session was held in honor of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi. The session, titled "Education and Sustainable National Development in Nigeria: Professor Olayemi Akinwumi's Footprints on the Sands of Time in Federal University Lokoja," highlighted his significant contributions to the university's growth and academic stability during his tenure.
