The College of Postgraduate Studies at the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) successfully organized its maiden national conference, addressing the pressing challenges of environmental change and sustainable education in Nigeria.
The two-day conference, themed "Climate Change, Intersectionality, and Education for Sustainable Development: Challenges, and Opportunities for Nigeria," brought together academics and environmental experts from across the nation.

Keynote Address: Delivered by Professor James Kayode Aremo from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
Lead Paper Presentation: Presented by Professor John Gambo Laar of the Department of Geography, Kaduna State University, Kaduna.
Discussions throughout the conference centered on integrating climate awareness and sustainable practices into Nigeria's educational framework to foster resilient national development.
A special roundtable session was held in honor of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi. The session, titled "Education and Sustainable National Development in Nigeria: Professor Olayemi Akinwumi's Footprints on the Sands of Time in Federal University Lokoja," highlighted his significant contributions to the university's growth and academic stability during his tenure.
