FULafia Hosts Meeting with NTA Television College Jos

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Partnerships at the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Samaila Usman Dakyes, recently hosted an inter-institutional meeting with representatives from the National Television Authority (NTA) Television College, Jos. The meeting took place on October 7, 2024, at the FULafia campus in Lafia.

The NTA Television College delegation was led by Mrs. Suleiman, the Rector of the College, accompanied by Dr. Comfort Ukwela, Director of Training. Also in attendance from FULafia were Mr. Shadrach Abayomi, Head of the Department of Mass Communication, and Ms. Machuga, Head of the Department of Theatre and Media Arts, along with other academic leaders.

Discussions during the meeting centered around strengthening academic and professional collaborations between the two institutions, particularly in the areas of media, mass communication, industrial design, and theatre arts. Both parties explored opportunities for joint training programs, research partnerships, and student exchange initiatives to enhance media education and professional skills development.
