The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has commenced a two-day sensitisation programme to educate final-year students on the University's sign-out policy and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation process.

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has commenced a two-day sensitisation programme to educate final-year students on the University's sign-out policy and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation process.

The workshop, held at the University's 500-Seat Auditorium, was organised by the Students' Affairs Division on the directive of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Isa Kida, to prepare graduating students for the successful completion of their academic programmes and seamless participation in the NYSC scheme.

The programme focuses on the University's sign-out requirements, clearance procedures and the documentation required for NYSC mobilisation.

Participants are also being educated on common mistakes that could delay graduation or mobilisation and the steps required to avoid such setbacks.

Speaking at the event, the Dean of Students' Affairs, Professor Musa Ogah, said the initiative reflects the University's commitment to equipping students with the knowledge needed for a smooth transition from campus to national service and the labour market.

He urged the students to pay close attention to the presentations, comply with all institutional requirements and complete their clearance processes promptly to ensure timely graduation and successful NYSC mobilisation.
