FULafia Vice-Chancellor Seeks Federal Support for New Veterinary Faculty

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has appealed to the Federal Government to support the institution’s newly established Faculty of Veterinary Medicine through enhanced infrastructure and veterinary services.

Kida made the appeal during a recent visit to the Minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha, in Abuja.

He emphasised the need for strategic intervention to enable the faculty to effectively train veterinary professionals and deliver quality services to Nigerians.

The vice-chancellor urged the ministry to leverage the recent national conference of veterinary scholars hosted by FULafia as a platform for strengthening the faculty’s development and capacity.

Responding, Maiha commended the University for successfully hosting the conference, assuring the vice-chancellor of the ministry’s commitment to addressing critical needs of the faculty to accelerate its development and enhance its impact.

Kida was accompanied to the minister's office by the Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. M. D. Salihu, and Dr Bashir Ozomata, the Chief of Staff to the Vice-Chancellor.
