The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has taken a significant step towards deepening community engagement and promoting agricultural development through a landmark land allocation exercise.

The Agricultural Media Resources and Extension Centre (AMREC) convened a meeting with local farmers to allocate demonstration land, aiming to empower farmers and foster participatory development.

The exercise involved the allocation of two 20-hectare plots of university land, with the farmers praising the university's open-door policy and visionary leadership. The farmers commended the inclusive process and appealed for an expansion of the allocated land to meet the demands of their over 100-member cooperative.
