FUNAAB VC Urges Leadership Graduands to Use Knowledge to Impact Society
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has urged graduands of the Philosophy and Leadership Studies Programme to deploy the knowledge, skills and values acquired during the programme towards making a positive and lasting impact in society.

The Vice-Chancellor gave the charge on September 30, 2026, while presenting certificates to graduands of the programme at a ceremony held at the University.
Prof. Kehinde noted that the essence of acquiring knowledge was to translate it into meaningful contributions to society. He encouraged the graduands to extend the impact of the programme by inspiring and positively influencing others, just as they had been impacted through their participation in the Leadership Studies Programme.
Earlier, the Director of the Institute of Communication and General Studies (ICGS), Prof. Remi Aduradola, appreciated the Vice-Chancellor and other dignitaries for their continued support and encouragement towards the growth and success of the programme.
She explained that the ceremony was organised to formally present certificates to participants who had successfully completed the programme.
Also speaking, the Programme Leader, Prof. Emmanuel Akintona, expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for supporting the programme and providing participants with the opportunity to benefit from the leadership development initiative.
Responding on behalf of the graduands, the Registrar of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB), Mrs. Olanike Popoola, appreciated the University for the knowledge imparted through the programme.
She noted that the institution looked forward to further opportunities for learning and knowledge development.

Among the dignitaries at the ceremony were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olusegun Idowu; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Olawale Dairo; Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi; Prof. Oniyekwere Nwaorgu; and the Director of Internal Audit (FCAIB), Mr. Olakunle Karunwi.
The ceremony climaxed with the presentation of certificates to the graduands, accompanied by a renewed call for them to apply the knowledge, skills and values acquired through the programme to create a positive and lasting impact in society.
