FUNAAB, Weifang Vocational College Explore Partnership on Agricultural Training, Scholarships

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has received a delegation from Weifang Vocational College, China, as both institutions explore opportunities to strengthen academic and institutional collaboration.

The visit focused on identifying areas of partnership that could provide mutual benefits, particularly in agricultural education, skills development, modern farming practices and technology transfer.

The proposed partnership is expected to create new opportunities for FUNAAB students and staff, including scholarship opportunities and participation in specialised agricultural training programmes. It is also expected to facilitate knowledge and technology exchange between the two institutions.

Weifang Vocational College is a public full-time vocational institution in China. The engagement is expected to further broaden FUNAAB's international partnerships and support the University's drive for global visibility and capacity development.

The delegation comprised Ms Wendy, a representative of the China Ministry of Education, Beijing; Dr Yewande Olabinjo of the University of Lagos; and Mr Tope Anthony, Public Relations Manager, Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone (OGFTZ).
