FUNATO Announces Suspension of Academic and Administrative Activities for Ramadan Sallah

The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), has announced the suspension of all academic and administrative activities in observance of the upcoming Ramadan Sallah celebrations.
In a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar on 16 March 2026, the university stated that the decision aligns with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s declaration of Thursday and Friday as public holidays to mark the Islamic festival.
All staff and students are informed that lectures, administrative operations, and other official university activities will be temporarily suspended for the two days. Normal university operations are expected to resume on the next working day following the holidays.
The notice was signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Amuni Mohammed Olayinka, on behalf of the university management.
Ramadan Sallah, also known as Eid al-Fitr, is a major Islamic festival marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer, and charitable activities for Muslims.
