FUTH Lafia Management Pays Congratulatory Visit to Newly Appointed FULafia Vice-Chancellor

 The management team of the Federal University Teaching Hospital (FUTH), Lafia, led by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Ikrama Hassan, paid a high-level congratulatory visit to the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

The visit was in honour of Professor Muhammad Kida, following his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the new Vice-Chancellor of the university.

During the meeting, Dr. Ikrama Hassan expressed the teaching hospital's readiness to deepen its collaboration with the university, particularly in the areas of medical education, clinical research, and healthcare delivery. He described Professor Kida’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his academic pedigree and leadership capability.

Professor Muhammad Kida, a distinguished academic, succeeds Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, whose tenure recently concluded. Kida's appointment comes at a pivotal time as the university continues to expand its College of Medicine and strengthen its partnership with FUTH Lafia for the training of next-generation healthcare professionals.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the FUTH management for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining a robust relationship between the two federal institutions to ensure Lafia remains a hub for academic and medical excellence.
