Godfrey Okoye University (GOUni) is making a strong mark at the ongoing All Nigerian University Debate Championship (ANUDC) 2025, hosted in Ilorin.

The prestigious tournament, regarded as the largest debate competition in Nigeria, has gathered the finest intellectual talents from across the country, and GoUni is proving its mettle.

The university’s Quiz Team — Obialor Agape, Nkenna Azubuike, and Ogbonna Deborah — stormed into the quarter-finals after overcoming intense rounds that tested their speed, accuracy, and teamwork.

On the debate front, the pair of Ogbonna Donald Ugochukwu and Onyia Freda also advanced to the quarter-finals, while Rev. Sr. Vivian Onwuka, serving as an adjudicator, earned her place in the quarter-final stage. Her progress highlights GoUni’s strength not only in producing competitors but also in contributing to the quality of judging at the championship.
