The Chairman of Gombe State University's Governing Council has announced the highlights of decisions reached at the 52nd regular meeting held on 23rd May, 2024.

1. Promotions of Professors and Readers: Eleven Readers were promoted to Professors and five Senior Lecturers to Readers, effective from 1st October 2023.

2. Reappointment of Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta as DVC, Academic: The Council ratified the selection and appointment of Prof. Sani Ahmed Yauta as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic for a second term of two years, effective from 29th March 2024.
