Gombe State University Announces Key Decisions from 52nd Governing Council Meeting

The Chairman of Gombe State University's Governing Council has announced the highlights of decisions reached at the 52nd regular meeting held on 23rd May, 2024.

Key decisions include:
1. Promotions of Professors and Readers: Eleven Readers were promoted to Professors and five Senior Lecturers to Readers, effective from 1st October 2023.
2. Reappointment of Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta as DVC, Academic: The Council ratified the selection and appointment of Prof. Sani Ahmed Yauta as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic for a second term of two years, effective from 29th March 2024.

3. Extension of the Bursar's Tenure: The Council approved the extension of the Bursar's tenure by one year, effective from 10th October 2024 to 9th October 2025, based on satisfactory performance.
