IAUE Senior Staff Club Elects New President, Comrade Chikweri MacDonald Minikwu
Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has elected Comrade Chikweri MacDonald Minikwu as the new President of its Senior Staff Club.

Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has elected Comrade Chikweri MacDonald Minikwu as the new President of its Senior Staff Club.
The election, which was held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Club’s premises, saw Comrade Minikwu secure 194 votes to defeat the incumbent President, Dr. Bieye Briggs, who polled 96 votes.
In the same election, Mr. Parker emerged as the Bar Manager with 170 votes, defeating his opponent, Dr. Wabah, who garnered 111 votes.
Other positions in the Club were returned unopposed, including Mrs. Gloria Emesiobi, who now serves as the Provost of the Club.
The election process and results were confirmed by the Club’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Ngozi Okiridu, who commended members for their orderly conduct and participation in the democratic exercise.
