IBBUL Senate Promotes 10 Professors, 12 Associate Professors

The Senate of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL), Lapai, has confirmed the promotions of 10 academics to the professorial cadre and 12 others to Readers (Associate Professors).

The announcement was made at the 97th regular meeting of the Senate held in the Senate Chamber, Main Campus, Lapai.

The newly confirmed professors are:

1. Dr. Ibrahim James Galadima - Professor of Mathematics

2. Dr. Aliyu Bello Mohammed - Professor of Sociology

3. Dr. Modu Ali Bwala - Professor of Agricultural Economics

4. Dr. Ibrahim Hadiza Gurusu - Professor of Animal Production

5. Dr. Simeon Adewale Ebine - Professor of French

6. Dr. Aliyu Ishaku Ma'ali - Professor of Mathematics

7. Dr. Musa Salihu Ewugi - Professor of Economics

8. Dr. Idris Ndagi - Professor of Agricultural Economics

9. Dr. Jiya Solomon Ndace - Professor of Geography

10. Dr. Abdullahi Babandako Yusuf - Professor of Business Administration

The 12 academics confirmed as Readers (Associate Professors) are:

1. Dr. Azeh Yakubu - Chemistry

2. Dr. Yusuf Tanko Usman - Physics

3. Dr. Joshua Usman - English

4. Dr. Tijjani Umar - Arabic

5. Dr. Aminu Aliyu Wushishi - Adult Education and Community Development

6. Dr. Abdul Mohammad - Sports Science and Health Education

7. Dr. Balogu Tochukwu Vincent - Microbiology

8. Dr. Abdulmumini Baba Alfa - Economics

9. Dr. Musah Monday - Chemistry

10. Dr. Agboluaje Ayodele Abraham - Mathematics

11. Dr. Usman Idris Gana - Counselling Psychology

12. Dr. Ndatsu Yakubu - Biochemistry

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu, congratulated the promoted academics and urged them to continue working towards the growth and development of the university. He also extended congratulatory messages from the Visitor, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Niger State, and the Honourable Commissioner, Tertiary Education.
