IBBUL Students Empowered to Become Problem Solvers and Innovators

The Students' Union Government of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, in collaboration with the university's Centre for Entrepreneurship Innovation and Development, organized the Students' Entrepreneurship Empowerment Day.

The event featured a keynote session by Mr. Salihu Isa Kantigi, MD/CEO of Softech and an alumnus of IBBUL.

Mr. Kantigi urged students to see themselves as problem solvers and innovators rather than job seekers. He emphasized the importance of identifying problems and creating solutions, highlighting that consistency, resilience, and a willingness to learn are essential for success.

The event showcased the university's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among its students. Mr. Kantigi shared his company's contributions to the Nigerian financial sector and announced a donation of ₦100,000 to support the Students' Entrepreneurship Innovation and Development Programme.

The alumni community's commitment to supporting students' academic and entrepreneurial pursuits was reiterated, with Mr. Kantigi assuring students that they will always have a strong partner in their success journey. The event aimed to inspire students to take ownership of their entrepreneurial journey and develop the skills and mindset necessary to succeed.
