JAMB Denies Involvement in HND Admission Process
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has categorically denied any involvement in the admission process for Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has categorically denied any involvement in the admission process for Higher National Diploma (HND) students. In a statement issued by Fabian Benjamin, the board's spokesperson, JAMB clarified that it neither has authority nor control over the admissions of HND candidates.
Benjamin emphasized that the board's role is limited to the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the facilitation of admissions into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education at the undergraduate level. The statement was made in response to recent claims that suggested JAMB was involved in the HND admission process.
"JAMB has no involvement, authority, or control over the admissions process for HND candidates," Benjamin stated, urging the public to disregard any contrary information.
This clarification aims to dispel confusion and ensure that prospective HND students and the general public are accurately informed about the board's responsibilities.
