JAMB, NBTE Strengthen Partnership As Outgoing And Incoming Registrars Visit Board Headquarters

The leadership of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, following a courtesy visit to the Board's headquarters.

The delegation, led by the outgoing JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, included the incoming Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, and other senior officials. The visit formed part of efforts to reinforce the longstanding partnership between both agencies and formally introduce the incoming Registrar to the NBTE leadership.

The delegation was received on behalf of the Executive Secretary of NBTE, Prof. Idris M. Bugaje, by Dr. Babangida Albaba and directors of the Board.

Speaking during the visit, Prof. Oloyede said the engagement was aimed at deepening the cordial working relationship between JAMB and NBTE while ensuring a seamless transition in leadership.

He noted that the collaboration between the two institutions has played a significant role in improving Nigeria's admissions system, quality assurance, and the development of technical and vocational education across the country.

Prof. Oloyede expressed confidence that the partnership would continue to grow under the leadership of the incoming Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, as both agencies work towards advancing educational standards and expanding opportunities for students.

Responding on behalf of the NBTE Executive Secretary, Dr. Babangida Albaba conveyed the appreciation of Prof. Idris M. Bugaje, who was unable to attend the meeting due to other official engagements in Abuja.

Dr. Albaba thanked the JAMB delegation for the courtesy visit and reaffirmed NBTE's commitment to sustaining its productive relationship with JAMB in promoting excellence within Nigeria's tertiary education sector, particularly in technical and vocational education and training, TVET.

He also assured the incoming JAMB Registrar of NBTE's continued support and cooperation in achieving shared institutional objectives that will enhance access to quality education, improve innovation, and strengthen the nation's education system.

The meeting concluded with goodwill messages and discussions on areas of mutual interest, as both institutions renewed their commitment to closer collaboration in advancing technical education, admissions management, and educational development in Nigeria.
