JAMB Registrar Visits Yola, Condoles NUC Executive Secretary’s Family, and Inspects Facilities at Modibbo Adama University
The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, was in Yola yesterday on an official and condolence visit.
Prof. Oloyede was in the state to commiserate with the family of the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu, over the passing of his brother.
During the visit, the Registrar extended heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the Board and prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved family.
While in Yola, the JAMB Registrar also paid a working visit to Modibbo Adama University (MAU), one of the Board’s accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in Adamawa State.
He was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Umar and conducted around key facilities, including the University CBT Centre and the solar power installation that supports uninterrupted power supply to the examination hub.
During the inspection, Prof. Oloyede expressed satisfaction with the University's level of preparedness and the quality of infrastructure dedicated to JAMB operations.
He commended the Management of Modibbo Adama University for sustaining high standards in examination administration and for ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for candidates during JAMB examinations.
He noted that, the reliability of ICT and energy infrastructure at MAU, plays a vital role in strengthening the credibility and efficiency of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in the state.
The Registrar, reaffirmed JAMB’s commitment to continuous collaboration with accredited centres nationwide, emphasizing that effective partnerships with universities remain central to the Board’s mandate of ensuring transparent, secure, and technology-driven assessment processes.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Umar, appreciated the Registrar of JAMB for coming and assured him of the University's commitment towards maintaining standards in conducting examinations.
