JAMB Reveals Top 10 Most Sought-After Universities for 2025 Admissions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the top 10 most sought-after universities in Nigeria for the 2025 admissions cycle.

Lagos State University (LASU) emerges as the most preferred university with 70,080 applicants, followed by the University of Lagos (UNILAG) with 58,645 applicants, and the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) with 56,758 applicants.

The top 10 list includes Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), University of Ibadan (UI), University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), University of Benin (UNIBEN), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), and Federal University, Lafia (FULAFIA). This list reflects the number of applications received for each university, providing insight into the preferences of candidates for the 2025/2026 academic session.
