Kaduna State Government Honours Young Athletes for Sporting Excellence
The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB) has recognized and celebrated young athletes who represented the state in two major competitions: the North-West Geo-Political Zone Teams Game Competition and the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF)/National School Sports Federation (NSSF) School Football Cup Championship.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Lagos State University, Professor Oseni Taiwo Afisi, has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (FSPSP), a distinguished honour reserved for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship, leadership, and commitment to the advancement of peace studies and conflict resolution for not less than ten years.
The Society’s Fellowship Award is one of its highest recognitions, conferred only on members who have made significant contributions to the development of peace practice and research, and whose professional record has earned the endorsement of the Executive Council.
Professor Afisi, a renowned Professor of Philosophy and an accomplished academic with extensive contributions to knowledge, teaching, and institutional development, received the Fellowship earlier this week. His elevation reflects his long-standing dedication to fostering peace, dialogue, and intellectual progress within and beyond the University.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM congratulates Professor Afisi on this well-deserved honour."
