Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University Hosts NUC Accreditation Team for Computing Programmes
Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), welcomed a delegation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Friday, 14th November 2025, for the official accreditation of three academic programmes within the Faculty of Science and Computing.

The programmes under review were BSc Computer Science, BSc Software Engineering, and BSc Cyber Security.
The three-member accreditation team, which included two distinguished professors and a NUC representative, conducted thorough inspections of the university’s facilities, staffing, academic records, systems, and operational processes to ensure compliance with national standards for teaching and learning. The team also engaged with both staff and students to evaluate the quality of academic delivery and overall student experience.
During the assessment, the accreditation team expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of the university and commended the management’s efforts to enhance academic standards and institutional growth. Bilal Dahiru Tijjani, Ag. Director of Corporate Affairs and Marketing at KHAIRUN, noted that the team’s observations would help guide further improvements and reaffirm the university’s commitment to excellence.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdulrashid Garba welcomed the NUC team warmly, highlighting KHAIRUN’s dedication to providing quality education, fostering innovation, and maintaining a conducive learning environment that meets both national and international standards.
