Kogi College Gets NUC Approval to Offer Degree Programs

The Federal College of Education, Okene, Kogi State, has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer degree programs independently, without needing affiliation with any university.

This milestone achievement empowers FCE Okene to design and implement its own curricula under NUC supervision, expanding access to higher education in Kogi and the North-Central region.

The college will begin enrolling students for the new degree programs next week, for both UTME and direct entry candidates. Previously, FCE Okene ran degree programs in affiliation with the University of Ibadan and Ekiti State University.

Provost Dr. Ibrahim Ismaila Mosimabale described the approval as "epoch-making," fulfilling a long-time dream of providing higher-quality education. The college has the necessary manpower and infrastructure to sustain these programs .
