In a move to bolster institutional efficiency and academic excellence, the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salihu Sanusi Avidime, has approved a series of key appointments effective April 17, 2026.

The restructuring initiative aims to reposition the Polytechnic as a premier center for research and transformational leadership.

Mr. Joel Tope Ebenezer: Appointed as Acting Director, Directorate of Undergraduate Studies (in affiliation with Federal University, Lokoja). Formerly a Deputy Director and Chief Lecturer, Mr. Joel is expected to ensure stability and enhanced coordination for undergraduate programs.

Mrs. Audu Lucy Hassana: Appointed as Acting Director, Directorate of SIWES. A Senior Lecturer in Computer Science, Mrs. Hassana makes history as the first woman to lead the unit, signaling the Rector’s commitment to gender inclusivity.

Mr. Usman Francis Roberts: Named Acting Dean, School of Agricultural Technology, tasked with aligning the school's programs with national agricultural development priorities.

Congratulating the new appointees, Professor Avidime emphasized that their selection was based on institutional loyalty and proven capacity. He urged them to prioritize integrity, teamwork, and innovation to help fulfill his vision of a transformed Polytechnic.
