Kogi State Polytechnic Rector Commends Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Second Anniversary Milestones

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has extended warm congratulations to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, as he marks his second year in office today, January 27, 2026.

Writing on behalf of the institution’s Governing Council, Management, and students, Professor Usman described the Governor’s two-year tenure as a period of transformative growth and purposeful leadership, particularly within the education sector.

The Rector highlighted several key projects funded by the Ododo administration that have directly impacted the Polytechnic’s campuses:

Under Governor Ododo’s visitorial oversight, the Polytechnic has significantly expanded its academic footprint. Professor Usman noted the successful accreditation of 18 existing programmes and the introduction of eight new courses, a move aimed at increasing access to technical education and maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
