KWASU Chancellor Applauds Governor AbdulRazaq for Completing Osi and Ilesha-Baruba Campuses

The Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Engineer Dr. Johnson Bamidele Adewumi, has praised the Kwara State Government for its dedication to completing the Osi and Ilesha-Baruba campuses of the institution. 

During a courtesy visit from the University's Governing Council on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his residence in Oko, Irepodun Local Government Area, Engineer Adewumi expressed his appreciation for the state's commitment to the projects. He emphasized that the completion of these campuses would significantly contribute to the development of the surrounding communities.

Adewumi highlighted the importance of education in driving development and commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his focus on key sectors of the state's economy. He also applauded the Governor's decision to appoint Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of KWASU, noting that Jimoh, who previously served in an acting capacity, has the support of the University community and is well-positioned to succeed.

The Chancellor further expressed his gratitude to the Governing Council members for their service, describing the Council's Chairman, Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali OON, as an excellent administrator.

Earlier, Professor Ambali had praised Engineer Adewumi for his contributions to the advancement of KWASU and his efforts to draw attention to the institution.
