KWASU VC Appoints Lukman Ajibade Azeez as Director of Laboratory Services

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh has appointed Mr. Lukman Ajibade Azeez as the Director of the Directorate of Laboratory Services and Equipment Maintenance. 

The letter of appointment signed by the Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee is dated February 9, 2026, and states that the appointment is for a period of 2 years. 

Mr. Azeez, a Chief Technologist with the Laboratory Unit of the Department of Biochemistry, is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT).

He has served as the Chairman of National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) KWASU Branch, the body responsible for the welfare of Technologists in KWASU. He has also been a member of the University Consultative Committee, an advisory organ to the University Management on all matters related to staff welfare (2020-2022).

Mr Azeez has equally been a member of the University Laboratory and Store       

Management Committee, which has the mandates of taking inventory of functional, serviceable, and non-functional laboratory equipment; developing appropriate laboratory protocols and guidelines; and making recommendations on improvement in procurement.

He is currently running an M. Tech. program at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, and is at the final stage.

Also appointed to the Directorate of Laboratory Services and Equipment Maintenance as Assistant Directors are Mrs Rashidat Bolanle Kadir, a Chief Technologist in the Department of Zoology who will be in charge of Training and Laboratory Services unit, and Engr Azeez Akande, also a Chief Technologist in the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering, to take charge of the Equipment Maintenance unit.
