Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Governing Council Member Honoured as Fellow of Nigeria Computer Society

Prof. Stephen Olatunde Olabiyisi, a distinguished computer engineer, lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering, and member of the Governing Council at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has been conferred with the highest professional ICT honour by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS).

The prestigious Fellowship of the Nigeria Computer Society was awarded at the 2025 Nigeria Information Technology Merit Awards (NITMA) ceremony held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos. The event gathered top industry figures, policymakers, and technology stakeholders to celebrate excellence in Nigeria’s digital landscape.

Prof. Olabiyisi, a former President of the LAUTECH Alumni Association and past Director of the University’s Information and Communication Technology Centre, has served on the university’s Governing Council representing the Alumni Association. The NCS National Executive Council, under the leadership of President Dr. Muhammad Sirajo Aliyu, described his elevation as an affirmation of his significant contributions to digital development, professional excellence, and capacity‑building within the ICT sector.
