Lafia Staff Unity Family Honors Outgoing FULafia VC, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman

The Lafia Staff Unity Family of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has commended the outgoing Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, for his selfless service and contributions to the development of the institution.

The commendation was given by the Council of Elders (Shura Committee) of the Family during a farewell visit to the vice-chancellor at the Old Senate Chamber, Permanent Site Campus.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the Chairman of the Council, Mr Zakari Shuaibu, described Abdul Rahman’s five-year tenure as one marked by dedication to duty, visionary leadership and commitment to academic excellence. 

He noted that Lafia staff had benefited from his inclusive leadership style and trust through the assignment of key responsibilities.

In his response, Abdul Rahman thanked the Lafia Staff Unity Family members for their support and cooperation, urging them to extend the same goodwill to his successor for the University’s sustained development.

The visit ended with the presentation of gifts and decoration of the vice-chancellor with a traditional Lafia cap.
