LASU Centre of Excellence for Sargassum Research to Host Global Virtual Lecture on Satellite Monitoring

The Centre of Excellence for Sargassum Research (CESAR), Lagos State University, in its continued effort to create awareness of the potential and benefits of sargassum (seaweed) among littoral communities in Lagos State and Nigeria at large, is organising the second edition of the CESAR Virtual Lecture, scheduled as follows:

The lecture, titled “Sargassum Watch from Space,” is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. (WAT). This initiative is part of CESAR's ongoing mission to sensitize littoral communities in Lagos State and across Nigeria about the environmental impact and economic potential of sargassum (seaweed).
