The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Lagos State University, Professor Oseni Taiwo Afisi, FSPSP, FCP, has been inducted into the prestigious Chartered Institute of Directors, Nigeria (CIoD), the apex professional body representing directors, business leaders, technocrats, and senior public sector officials in the country.

The induction ceremony, held on Thursday, 30th April 2026, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, saw Professor Afisi formally conferred with distinguished membership of the Institute, earning him the professional designation M.CIoD.

A Professor of Philosophy of Science, Logic, and Critical Rationalism, Professor Afisi’s induction into the Institute reflects his longstanding contributions to academia, leadership, and institutional governance. The recognition further underscores his commitment to excellence, strategic thinking, and high-level administrative competence within and beyond the University system.

He was accompanied to the ceremony by his wife, Mrs Rosemary Taiwo-Afisi.
