LASU Opens 2025 Sandwich Degree Admission Across Ojo and Epe Campuses

Lagos State University (LASU) has officially announced the commencement of admissions into its Sandwich Degree Programmes for the 2025 Modular Year.

The programmes will be available at both the Ojo and Epe campuses of the institution.

Programmes on Offer
The Sandwich Degree options cut across the Faculty of Education, including:

• B.Sc (Ed), B.A (Ed), and B.Ed in disciplines such as Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Education, and Educational Technology.
• Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education, Health Education, and Physical & Health Education.
• Business Education, Educational Management, Economics, Political Science, and Geography.
• History, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, French, English, Yoruba, and Arabic under B.A Education.
• Early Childhood and Primary Education, Guidance and Counselling Education, and Special Education under B.Ed.

General Entry Requirements
Applicants must possess five O’Level credits or NABTEB relevant to their chosen course of study at not more than two sittings, including credit passes in English Language and Mathematics. In addition, candidates must meet one of the following:

• Two A’Level passes or NCE Merit in relevant areas.
• A two-year University or Polytechnic Diploma (not less than Merit/Lower Credit).

Specific Subject Demands

• English majors must hold credits in both English Language and Literature-in-English.
• Economics majors require credits in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.
• Political Science requires credits in English, Mathematics, and Government.
• Human Kinetics, Sports, and Health Education require credits in English Language, Mathematics, and other science-related subjects such as Biology or Agricultural Science.
• Mathematics and Science majors must hold compulsory credits in Mathematics, English, and Physics.

LASU further noted that holders of professional qualifications such as Registered Nurse/Midwifery Certificates, Environmental Health Diploma, ICAN Part II, CTS Part II, or Arabic NCE at Merit Level will also be considered, provided they meet other requirements.

Programme Duration

• The four-year programme is for candidates with NCE/ND Merit/Lower Credit and above.
• The five-year programme is for candidates with WASC/SSCE, NABTEB, or NCE who fall short of the four-year entry criteria.

Application Guidelines
Interested applicants are to apply through the LASU website at www.lasu.edu.ng after paying a non-refundable fee of ₦10,000. Completed online forms and valid O’Level scratch cards must be submitted to the Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme at either Ojo or Epe campus.

LASU’s Directorate emphasized that payments should only be made through the official university portal, warning that those who pay through individuals or unofficial accounts do so at their own risk.

Closing Date and Entrance Examination
The application window will remain open for twelve weeks from the date of this announcement. The entrance examination and interview have been scheduled for Saturday, 1st November 2025 at the 3-in-1 Lecture Theatre (Halls 1 and 2), Ojo campus, by 9:00 a.m.

Applicants are required to attend with original and photocopies of their credentials alongside writing materials.
