The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, has opened applications for admission into its School of Anaesthetic Technology for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This announcement marks the commencement of the fourth cohort of trainees enrolled into the hospital’s specialised programme for the training of Anaesthetic Technicians.
LASUTH noted that the programme is designed to build competent middle-level personnel capable of supporting anaesthesia services across healthcare institutions in Nigeria.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be between 18 and 30 years of age.
• Possess a minimum of five O’Level credits in WASSCE, NECO, or SSCE obtained in not more than two sittings.
• Have compulsory credit passes in English Language and Mathematics.
• Have credit passes in at least two core science subjects: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Duration of Programme
The training runs for three years, after which successful candidates will be awarded a Certificate in Anaesthetic Technology.
Method of Application
Interested and qualified candidates are to obtain the application form from the Department of Anaesthesia, Old Administrative Building, LASUTH. Completed forms must be submitted with the following:
• Photocopies of relevant credentials.
• A Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Two recent passport photographs.
All submissions are to be made to the same office where the forms were collected.
Conditions for Admission
Candidates will undergo a written entrance examination at LASUTH. Only those who pass the examination will be invited for an interview.
Closing Date
Sales and submission of forms will close four weeks from the date of publication (November 4, 2025).
