The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has announced the indefinite postponement of its inaugural lecture earlier scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

The decision, communicated through an internal memorandum signed by Julianah O. Oyetola, Deputy Registrar (Senate & Examinations) and Secretary, Academic Lectures Committee, was made on the directive of the Chairman, University Academic Lectures Committee.

According to the notice, the postponement became necessary due to the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), which has disrupted academic activities nationwide.

The University assured that a new date for the lecture will be announced in due course, while expressing regret over any inconvenience caused by the development.
