LAUTECH Suspends Academic Activities at Iseyin Campus Following Student’s Death
The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has announced a two-week suspension of academic activities at its Iseyin Campus following the tragic death of a 200 Level student from the Department of Agricultural Economics, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Iseyin.

According to a statement issued by the University’s Registrar, Mrs. Olayinka O. Balogun, the decision was taken in view of the emotional impact of the incident on students and staff of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources.
Effective immediately, all students in the affected College are to proceed on a two-week break, with academic activities scheduled to resume on Monday, 24th November, 2025.

Mrs. Balogun further noted that officers on essential services who may be required to remain on duty during the period would be duly informed through the appropriate channels.
The University Management extended its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased student, urging members of the campus community to stay safe, support one another, and honour the memory of their late colleague.
