Lens University Faculty of Management Holds Seminar on Career Opportunities in Management Disciplines

On Monday, July 6, 2026, the Faculty of Management, Lens University Ilemona held a seminar on career opportunities in management disciplines at the institution's campus.

The seminar titled Career Pathway and Professional Development in Management Disciplines was organised by the faculty executives in collaboration with the faculty management to equip students with valuable insights into career opportunities and professional growth within the management field. 

While addressing the students, the guest speaker, Dr. Mustapha exposed the students to different career opportunities across management disciplines and skills required to excel in each of the chosen fields. He therefore charged the students to remain focused and be goal-oriented to fulfill their dreams. Dr. Mustapha dwells on what students can become and how they can be successful in the fields of accounting, finance, business and management studies, entrepreneurship, public administration, economics among others. He tasked students to be creative, resilient, network, and pursue professional certifications.

Also speaking, the Director of Strategic Planning, Alhaji Abdulfatai Azeez, admonished the students to define their purpose of being in school strategically, adding that society will not applaud failure.

Speaking on the misconception about small-scale businesses, he advised the management students to always diagnose statements and bring facts out of them. He urged participants not to join the bandwagon of students who are studying a course without a clear purpose.

In his remarks, the proprietor, Dr. Yisa Azeez FCA, commended the faculty for organising the seminar aimed at shaping the future of the students towards achieving their careers successfully. While applauding the executives of the faculty, he urged the students to have vision and remain focused. He added that all the fields in the faculty of business are lucrative and rewarding depending on the creative ability and instinct of the students to explore their chosen career. 

“I commend the faculty management and its executives for this important seminar. I equally commend students for their attendance. At Lens institutions, we offer quality education and give our students spectacular glasses to see beyond the horizon, bringing out the best in the students, preparing them ahead of the labor market distinctively, and molding them to be employers of labour through practical exercises. I commend you all and wish you success in your career choice,” he stated.

Present at the event were Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Mr. Usman Malik; Deputy Registrar, Lens University, Mr. Hammed Sarafa Olalekan; and other staff of the faculty.
