The Neurosurgery Unit at Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital has recorded two major successes in recent months.

According to the Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Emmanuel Nwankwo, the hospital team successfully removed a dangerous blood clot from an elderly patient’s brain, restoring his health and mobility. In another case, the team carried out a life-saving decompressive craniotomy on a patient with severe brain swelling following a stroke, preventing further damage and aiding recovery.
