Lieutenant Colonel Yagana Musa, a distinguished and resilient military officer hailing from the Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State, has achieved a significant milestone in Nigerian military history. 

In 2019, Musa became the first woman of Kanuri descent to be decorated with the rank of Major in the Nigerian Army.
