MAPOLY Sets November 21 Deadline For Admission Offer Acceptance, Releases Full Registration Procedure For 2025/2026 Session

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has issued a formal directive to all candidates offered provisional admission for the 2025/2026 academic session, outlining strict deadlines and the mandatory steps required to secure their admission status.

The institution has emphasized that only candidates who complete all stages of acceptance and early registration within the approved timeline will retain their admission.

The management has reiterated that the deadline for admission acceptance is non-negotiable, as the institution must finalize its records, commence academic activities seamlessly, and ensure that only committed candidates occupy available spaces.

The key dates announced include the last day for admission acceptance—Friday, 21 November 2025, and the official commencement of lectures—Monday, 10 November 2025 for all student categories except those currently on SIWES.

This notice applies strictly to all candidates admitted into approved programmes for the ongoing session, excluding students who are on SIWES and operate under a separate academic schedule.

MAPOLY has outlined a sequential process that every admitted candidate must follow. The first step is the acceptance of the admission offer, which must be completed through the institution’s official portal on or before Friday, 21 November 2025. Candidates are expected to follow the steps provided on the portal, confirm the admission as stated in the official offer, and ensure the process is fully completed. Any candidate who does not meet the deadline will automatically lose the provisional admission.

Following acceptance, candidates must monitor their online profiles for updates on departmental and school clearance. Clearance will only be considered valid after approval by both the Head of Department and the School Officer. Only candidates who receive these approvals will be eligible to proceed to the payment of school fees.

After clearance approval, payment of all prescribed school fees becomes the next mandatory step. The polytechnic has stated that fee details will be provided exclusively through official MAPOLY communication channels. Students are expected to retain proof of payment, as it will be required during subsequent verification and academic processes.

Once fees are successfully paid, the system will automatically generate a matriculation number for each candidate. The matriculation number serves as the candidate’s official identity within the polytechnic and is required for all academic and administrative activities, including attendance, examinations, and documentation. Without a matriculation number, no candidate will be regarded as a fully registered MAPOLY student.

The institution has made it clear that any candidate who fails to accept their provisional admission by 21 November 2025 will forfeit the offer. Such candidates will not appear in the institution’s final registration records and will be required to seek admission afresh in a future cycle.

Meanwhile, according to MAPOLY’s approved academic calendar, lectures commenced on Monday, 10 November 2025 for all categories of students currently on campus. Students participating in the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) remain excluded from the lecture schedule, as their field training is ongoing.

The Rector, Arc. Dr. ’Koye Jolaoso, has urged all students—new and returning—to remain dedicated to their academic responsibilities, uphold exemplary conduct, and comply fully with all polytechnic regulations. He stressed that the institution places equal value on academic performance and character.
